Let’s Go On A Death Picnic

When people think of the word “cemetery,” they often associate it with fear, grief, or loss—images shaped by films and media that portray cemeteries as dark and unsettling places. However, after visiting Green-Wood Cemetery, my perception of cemeteries completely changed. Death is often treated as something distant or unfamiliar, yet it is one of the few universal experiences that connects all of us. Whether directly or through the loss of loved ones, it remains an inevitable part of life.

Through this book, I wanted to capture the quiet beauty of cemeteries and challenge the negative connotations we have grown accustomed to. Rather than viewing them solely as places of mourning, I hope to present cemeteries as spaces where life and death coexist—places woven into the rhythm of everyday life, reminding us of both memory and humanity.

I also created a video that captures the atmosphere and quiet beauty of Green-Wood Cemetery, accompanied by the poem “On the Death of the Beloved” by John O'Donohue, which is also featured in the book.

Home Book
For me, home is a curated reflection of my personal tastes. Every object I own has
been thoughtfully selectfully selected over time, and wherever these pieces come
together feels like home – regardless of geographical location. I used simple, two-
colored line drawings of my most cherished possessions to convey my aesthetic and
bring a more personal, human touch to the book and paired it with Terah Cox’s poem,
“What is a House”.

Cuir Alloy

Cuir Alloy was born from a love of leather—its weight, its character, its quiet ability
to age with grace. Paired with the cool gleam of silver hardware and shaped by a
grunge-leaning, rebellious spirit, each piece reflects an aesthetic that is both raw
and refined.

In a market where true leather craftsmanship is rare to come by, I found myself
searching endlessly for accessories that honored both material and mood. When I
couldn’t find them, I chose to create them.

Cuir—the French word for leather—meets Alloy, a symbol of strength, polish, and permanence. Together they form a name that evokes luxury while capturing the essence
of what Cuir Alloy stands for: a fusion of supple leather and resilient metal, crafted
with intention, edge, and enduring quality.

Alcohol Consumption Awareness Campaign

Reflecting on my past experiences, I realized that many people are
unaware that alcohol is classified as a drug. This project aims to
raise awareness of that fact and discourage excessive consumption.
The visual style and concept for the short animation were inspired
by Saul Bass’s iconic movie title sequences.

How Does Heaven Look Like?
Have you ever imagined what heaven would look like?
This question has always been on my mind but I have never came across a clear
answer to it. So in this project in which I had to design an interface for a Generative
AI program, I decided to ask AI, which presumably has access to a vast amount of
infor-mation – or almost all of the information that exists in this world—to answer my question. The depictions of heaven are heavily inspired by Jehovah’s Witness illus-trations from the ‘80s and it naturally led the design choices I made to be heavily
inspired by the kitschy aspect of early GeoCities websites.

ComEat

Designed an app that helps knit a neighborhood community during times of water
or electricity outages by inviting over neigh-bors who might be experiencing
difficulty preparing food and sharing a meal together.

The app accommodates legibility for elderly users to better navigate through the
app using big buttons and emojis.  The overall color consists of warm tones of green
to represent  a sense of hospitality and humanity.

Wikibook

I selected the Wikipedia pageon New York City and transformed it into a city guidebook
that presents essential information about the city – covering its etymology, geography,
economy, and culture.

Supporting visuals were incorporated to create a dynamic and engaging composition. The book’s vertically elongated format and typeface were inspired by the Art Deco influences
found throughout New York City’s architecture.
